The Parma Education Association represents the interests of the professional educational staff of the Parma City School District, serving the cities of Parma, Parma Heights and Seven Hills in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
The Association is an affiliate of the Northeastern Ohio Education Association, the Ohio Education Association and the National Education Association in providing a quality public education for all children
The Association provides a variety of services to the educational and district community including professional development, community relations, collective bargaining, leadership training, scholarships through the PEA Foundation, Inc., membership support and enforcing codes of professional rights and responsibilities.

The OEA Board of Directors has endorsed Arthur Lard for reelection to the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) Board representing active teachers.
Lard is a Business Education teacher in Portsmouth City Schools with 30 years of experience and has served as treasurer of his local association for more than 20 years. This background has served him well as an OEA representative on the STRS Board since 2019.
For Ohio’s teachers, the benefits provided by STRS are crucial to our economic security in retirement. It is important that we ensure that the members elected to the STRS Board are prepared, dedicated, and will protect our interests.
Arthur Lard is dedicated to ensuring all OEA members have secure, reliable pensions and access to health care benefits in retirement.
Executive Committee Meetings are generally held on the 2nd Monday and Representative Council Meetings are generally held on the 4th Monday.
